Chuck and Abe of Hutson Floral Design have been creating wedding and event florals since 2007. Their work has appeared at venues across Colorado — from intimate mountain ceremonies to large-scale corporate events. The existing Squarespace site had served them well, but it was time for a refresh.
The previous design didn't showcase the artistry of their work the way it deserved. The photography was stunning; the website wasn't keeping up. They also wanted to add ecommerce functionality so customers could order designer's choice arrangements for delivery — a new revenue stream beyond weddings and events.
A Fresh Design That Lets the Work Shine
We refreshed Hutson Floral's Squarespace site with an updated look and new functionality to support both their event work and retail offerings.
Key elements of the project included:
Updated color palette and typography — We refined the visual identity with colors and fonts that feel modern and editorial, letting the floral photography take center stage.
Scrolling portfolio gallery — A new homepage gallery showcases recent wedding work in a flowing, editorial layout that invites visitors to explore.
Squarespace Commerce integration — We added a shop where customers can browse and purchase designer's choice arrangements for pickup or delivery. Clean product pages with multiple images make the buying experience simple.
Service pages for weddings and corporate events — Each service has its own dedicated page with relevant portfolio work, helping couples and event planners find exactly what they need.
Easy to update — Chuck and Abe can add new portfolio pieces, update shop inventory, and manage orders without any technical help.
The Result
Hutson Floral now has a website as beautiful as the arrangements they create. The refreshed design elevates their portfolio, the new shop opens up a revenue stream beyond events, and the whole site is easy for the team to manage as they grow.
