Colorado Design Build is a high-end residential landscape construction company based in Centennial, building outdoor spaces for some of the Denver metro's most thoughtful homes. Owners Myles Coughran and Meredith Reece partner with landscape architects, designers, and homeowners to bring carefully drawn plans to life, and Myles personally leads every project on site.
Their work had outgrown their website. The previous site had strong photography but little else to tell the story: no services page, minimal project context, and nothing about the owner-led approach that sets them apart. As a result, inquiries often came in for work that wasn't a fit. They needed a Denver Squarespace website that felt as considered as the landscapes they build.
A Site That Lets the Landscapes Lead
We rebuilt Colorado Design Build on Squarespace from a blank slate, with quiet design, generous imagery, and copy focused on what a well-built landscape means for the people who live with it.
Key elements of the project included:
Project-first design: Large, uninterrupted photography carries the site. The homepage opens with a rotating showcase of completed projects behind a fixed intro, built with Will Myers' Sliding Image Banner plugin, so visitors see the range of the work before they scroll. A custom logo swap keeps the mark crisp as visitors move between dark and light sections.
Portfolio posts with real context: Ten project pages pair each gallery with location, services, and a short narrative, turning a collection of photos into proof of range.
A services page that qualifies inquiries: A dedicated Custom Landscape Construction page clearly defines the high-end work the team takes on, so the right projects come through the door.
The owner-led story, told properly: A rewritten About page introduces the team and walks clients through a five-step process, from first consultation to enjoying the finished space.
SEO aimed at the right searches: Custom titles, meta descriptions, and keyword strategy across every page and portfolio post, targeting landscape construction and design-build terms rather than generic landscaping, plus image optimization and an llms.txt file for AI search visibility.
